Regular volunteer mornings at Hill House

We have a great team of volunteers who meet two mornings a month.

First and third Mondays of each month

  • arrive by 10am to  sign in and sorting out the morning tasks

  • 10 – 11.30 working on chosen area

  • 11.30 – tea/coffee break and chat

  • 12 – 1 continuing task

  • 1 – 2 shared lunch

It’s good fun, we get loads done, and we get to meet and chat with a wonderful varied bunch of folk. There is often a project for people to work on together.

Regular volunteer days for Sanctuary Breaks

First Tuesday of each month

  • 11.15 meet visitors

  • 11.30 – tea/coffee break and chat, usually followed by a walk

  • 1 – 2 pm shared lunch

  • 2- 3 arts,crafts, social activites together

  • 3 – 3.45 Tea and cake before visitors depart.

We usually have a short plannnig get-together prior to each Days Out day where we plan what we will cook, who might be able to make a cake, what activities we want to do etc. This usually takes about an hour and often happens on the 3rd Monday of the month after the volunteer lunch on that day. It is always a sociable gathering and the Days Out days offer our visitors a wonderful time to connect with each other and our volunteers.

Help with Transport

Getting to the house sometimes requires help with transport, for example from Gloucester or the train station. Please let us know if you can sometimes be available for helping with this.

Fundraising Events

Our fundraising events need a team of volunteers to make them work well.
